31st January It's The End Of The Month

Hey there! It's been few days since I launched my blog/blog-ck ;) and it's already the end of January. Tomorrow will be the first day of February. Time really flies and we never even realize it. Unless of course if you think of time all the time :P Anyway, I suddenly have the urge to post something relatively interesting perhaps? Well it's not all that interesting if you don't take it that way. Here's something which happened on the 31st of January around the world.

31st January (Events)

1. It's Justin Timberlake's Birthday! Well what do you know?
2. Philip Glass' birthday (He's an American composer)
3. Burma opens its new parliament
4. Mary Lund of Minn, is 1st female recipient of an artificial heart
5. U.S. performs nuclear test at Nevada Test Site
6. Robert Gibson flies record 27,040 feet altitude
7. Guy Fawkes was executed after being convicted for his role in the "Gunpowder Plot"
against the English Parliament and King James I
8. Keanu Reeves received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
9. An Alaska Airlines jet crashed into the ocean off Southern California. All 88 people on
    board were killed
10. McDonald's Corp. opened its first fast-food restaurant in Moscow, Russia

Well, I guess that's probably few things about the events occurred on the 31st of January. Some of us never even consider every days of our life to be somewhat special unless of course something extraordinary happens. In our life, everyday things happen for some reason and that is part of our life. Anyway, time flies and we should appreciate every single moment in our life because we will never able to turn back the clock and enjoy those precious moments and what we can do after the time had passed is only to look back and reminisce with regret. Just my thoughts for today.

Too Long Too Bad

Wow it's been 5 days since I've updated my blog or should I say my blog-ck ;) When you come across with writer's block, it will be quite annoying and at the same time frustrating because you don't know what to write and what to talk about when you want to come up with a neat-o conversation. Anyway, for the past few days, I've been to few places and one of them is SetiaWalk.

It's an amazing place! Why I say this because, it has so much to offer I mean it's just not the tall, unique architecture but it's also because there are so many restaurants and bars I could not even possibly name all of them. I've visited Muzeum so far. It is a pub & bistro restaurant and serve mostly Western food. I was lucky enough to try the chicken and mashed potato served with a bit of onion. It was yummy indeed!

Well, I guess that's all for the hangout session. I've visited few more outlets in SetiaWalk but I'm kinda lazy to bluff it all out.

Toodles ~~

Nostalgia? Only For A Few Months :')

I just finished lunch and was heading to the stationary shop to buy stuffs for the office with my sister. It seemed boring because... well what do you expect? It's a stationary shop after all. Nothing ordinary, just pencils and pens I used to hold and write on many papers for homeworks, exams or simply ordinary notes for random stuff with friends. After few months of not in school because I finished my high school, I kinda miss having to hold the pens and pencils and all the stationary stuffs for my school because it's just not about the boring school stuff I used to think but it's also because it reminds me of many sweet memories with friends and teachers.

Anyway, the point is, I saw one of the pen displayed in that particular shop which reminds me one of my classmates who loved using gel pen and especially the Faber Castell brand. In every homework, school assignments, and exams, he would use that pen. It's like his special tool (>.<) It's funny that I can still remember his specific pen he would always use and it's like a nostalgia to me because it brings so much memories and he is part of my memories with my classmates. I'm not saying I'm having a crush on him, I just happen to encounter that pen in that shop and brought me into delving the past, good ol' times in school even it was only a few months back. Aahhh, I guess this is part of the feeling where you leave school and not realizing that we've spent so much time in school even long enough to surpass the hours of relaxation at home.

School, it may seem hell hole to some students, but it's actually a place where you create good times with friends and teachers. It's a place where you can share secrets and release the burden from our heavy shoulders when we face difficult times. It's where friendship blossoms to love and finally it's where we can find refuge to one of the teachers who will always guide us when we need help. I know parents always comes first in our life but teachers are actually our second parents too because we've already spent so much time of our life in school so I guess we can call school our second home. I feel that way, and to put it simple, I miss school and I missed the way it used to be because I'll never have the chance to feel the nostalgic feeling of being in school starting from this year, no more school uniforms and wearing school shoes and seeing the familiar faces. It's going to be a tough world I have to endure from now on. A tough reality with tough people, and a tough life.

Well, everyone has to go through of all of this. Nobody's going to be a kid forever and it's time to face the challenging world.

For The Love Of Dominoes

Pizza Hut? Familiar with that restaurant outlet? Oh yes, the famous Pizza Hut which serves scrumptious, tasty, and awesome smelling pizzas. But wait, there's another rival which can topple the pizza sold in this restaurant and from my personal point of view, it will be Dominoes. Why Domino's? Because....

                 vs

1. Thin Crust
2. Tasty toppings (For some reason Pizza Hut failed my taste buds)
3. It has a tasty flavour around the crust
4. I rarely eat Domino's because we don't have Domino's in Sabah
5. Pizza Hut is too mainstream >.<

Well, I'm no food expert neither a regular customer of pizzas because mostly I eat rice. It's just from my personal experience of eating pizzas from these 2 fast food restaurants. I think for now Domino's Pizza has won my attention and taste buds of course!

Subjects and Careers?

It starts with exam. Everything is determined by exams and also oral tests. Well, I'm not an expert in finding out which subjects taken in Form 4 and Form 5 which can lead to a better career in life. All I know is you take the subjects in your particular stream, pass the exam (SPM) and then find a good college and then university. I'm in fact have not found a college to start off my pre-U since it's still January. My sister was asking what kind of jobs we can do in the future if we only take Biology and Chemistry as the science subjects and I was honestly clueless at first. After googling some infos, I managed to find this,

Career Prospects
Graduates of Diploma in Science majoring in Chemistry and Biology may be employed as quality controllers, technical assistants and laboratory supervisors in manufacturing industries or medical establishments. Job vacancies are also available for them to be employed as sales executives in commercial companies.

Well it's from this site actually >>> http://www.tarc.edu.my/sas/programmes/sasdcb.htm.
This can be considered as not thorough research :P

Anyway, we all want to achieve something in life whether to become a successful businessman or a scientist. It just that we need to push ourselves to overcome hardships in life even if we have to pass exams just to reach our dream career. It doesn't mean we are only offered that particular subject like (Chemistry and Biology) we will not find any promising careers in life. Sometimes, we can spare some $$ (if willing) to obtain diploma or foundation to secure a career in the future. Well, sadly students who only took Chemistry and Biology for their SPM will not be able to further their study to become Doctor, Pharmacist, and Dentist because I believe they will have to take Physics and Add Maths probably for their SPM (Just my thoughts and some googling) As I had mentioned before, I'm not a school counselor and neither belong to any professional body to give advice on careers if we are to take only Biology and Chemistry (for elective) during SPM.

All I can say is, God has plans for us. Just do well in our studies and pass the exams. That is one of the most important thing to do first then we can look for many options which are related to our subjects taken in SPM in order to further our studies and mastering everything needed for our careers.

Here are some guides on careers for the SPM candidates and for those in form 4 :

Hweeee ~~~ Well just sharing my thoughts. :P

Handphones!

Hey-llo people,

Once again I'm doing my random stuff in this small world. I've been doing this kind of *research* searching for the best low-budget phone to suit my needs and that is preferably android phones. I've been in love with this kind of phones since I got my chance to lay off my eyes and hands on my sister's phone she recently bought last year. Poor me just using the ol' non-android phone and has this bulky shape and a circle-shaped which serves as a mini-stereo. Plus, it produces a loud booming noise even after I had adjusted it to the lowest maybe probably at a point of a squeak of a tiny mouse. I bought it initially at RM300+ and now the price dropped to RM100+ holy smokes that fast!

Well there goes my dream of selling it and at least obtaining some earnings to buy a fantastic, fast-processing, cheap and within my budget android phone.

Here's something I've searched for the past few days :

 Sony Xperia U about (RM630 - 730 (Ori))

and maybe.....

Sony Xperia Sola about (RM 675 - 775 (Ori))

It's pretty much the same except it differ in size and the internal specification of the phone?? :S

Well, that's probably about it. I wanna try buying this kind of phone since Samsung is too mainstream now :P

Hello 2013 Goodbye 2012

Yes, I believe this phrase have become mainstream especially in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and many more social networking site. Well, I think this is the most simple choice of phrase people could think of especially when it comes to describing pictures of yourself or maybe with friends. The most common ones are updating status in FB and Twitter. If I were to choose what phrase to welcome this hopefully jolly-good-year, it would have been :

"Yo 2013, Toodle-oo 2012"

I was searching some of the catchy words or phrases to welcome 2013 this year and found this :

  1. 13ring it on.
  2. Fine, Fresh and F13rce
  3. 2013: Because the world didn't end in 2012
  4. There's no luck to it. Class of '13
  5. 2013: So fresh and so clean
  6. Like a 13oss!
  7. The few... The proud.... The seniors
  8. '13: We just made the number lucky
  9. Saving the 13est for last.
  10. Class of '13: A lean, mean, fighting machine
Thanks >>> Source : http://www.customink.com/t-shirts/class-slogans.htm

Well enough with intros and let's welcome 2013! (I'm officially welcoming my blog starting with this first post in 2013)
